Q. Why is an NCOE needed?

A. Most centers of excellence receive almost all of their financial and program support from state governments and local resources. There is no national organization or program that works to help each center and state benefit from the experience of others. The NCOE fills that need. In addition, the NCOE can help develop common resources, tools, networks, and databases for the benefit of all centers. Perhaps the greatest need is for strategic services and critical information that will help centers of excellence significantly improve their abilities to transfer and successfully commercialize new technologies. Again, a National Centers of Excellence is the best way to accomplish this common objective.

Q. What other questions do you have?

A. Send your additional questions to NCOE for response. All questions will receive a response. Items will be added to this section of the website as deemed appropriate.
