The first annual conference of the National Centers of Excellence will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah in mid-September 2006. Its focus will be on presenting strategies and discussing actual best practices for encouraging and realizing the successful commercialization of new technologies. Experts and experienced practitioners in technology transfer and commercialization from around the world will be conducting workshops and sharing valuable information. Conference proceedings will be published by NCOE.

Plan now to attend and participate in this very hands-on event. Special sessions will be held to review the various studies now being completed by the National Centers of Excellence regarding technology commercialization, patents and commercial product development, and manufacturing needs assessment. Several site visits to world-class lean manufacturers are also being planned.
